Abstract

This instruction course provides a structured and practical overview of disorders affecting eye movements and ocular function, spanning from the muscle and neuromuscular junction to cranial nerve nuclei and supranuclear pathways. We will delve into muscular and neuromuscular disorders with ocular manifestations, cranial nerve palsies, and complex supranuclear and internuclear syndromes. Through a combination of case-based discussions and evidence-based guidelines, the course will equip attendees with practical tools for evaluating diplopia, ptosis, ophthalmoplegia, and facial nerve involvement. A strong emphasis will be placed on neuroanatomical localization, helping clinicians understand how structural pathways relate to specific clinical signs and symptoms.
