Abstract

Presbyopia correcting lenses have been in use for a long time now. The lens designs have been evolving at a very fast pace. Each lens being introduced with a lot of promise and hype only to eventually find them lacking in something or the other. In the last few years a lot of promising intraocular lenses have hit the market. Lenses which give the desired result of multifocalty without the problems of associated glare and haloes that we all are worried about. It feels reassuring that the changes are happening in the right direction.In this course we have senior phaco surgeons rich in experience in the use of these lenses giving forthright opinions. They shall be speaking based on their own personal experiences sans the hype. These are indeed very interesting times for the phaco surgeons.
